Unsung Heroes of D-Day

We can provide a 45 minute talk featuring some of the many faces of Operation Overlord that just don't get the limelight.

This talk covers a wide range of service personnel and civillians whose roles, often behind the scenes all weave together to make the Allied Invasion of Normandy possible, then they fade away back into history.

Not any more though, for we will share their stories.

This talk features tales of heroism hinted at below as well as many more::

  • A 15-year old on Omaha Beach
  • The poor man who traffic manages D-Day
  • The miracle of D-Day - Jaqueline Noel
  • The airborne operation that nearly cost the whole invasion

Following the talk the group will take questions and queries.

Foreign Field can provide in-depth detailed talks and demonstrations on the history of men and women in conflict, throughout the ages in both military and civillian settings.

Costumed talks and demonstrations can be done more than once per day and are ideal for school visits and small museums or as individual displays in shows..
